Demand and Sales Forecasting
The Prime Group has assisted several utilities in preparing demand and sales forecasts. We have developed econometric, end-use and time series models for electric and gas utilities. We have also performed studies analyzing extreme temperatures and analyzing the dependence of weather variables on demand and sales. Dr. Martin Blake, whose academic background is in econometrics, has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in econometrics. He also directed the demand and sales forecasting department of an investor-owned gas and electric utility.
