Load and Sales Forecasting
The Prime Group has assisted several utilities in preparing demand and sales forecasts. We have developed econometric, end-use and time series models for electric and gas utilities. We have also performed studies analyzing extreme temperatures and analyzing the dependence of weather variables on demand and sales. Steve Seelye, whose academic background is in mathematics and statistics, has developed electric and gas sales, demand and commodity forecasts for numerous utilities. He also directed the load research department of an investor-owned gas and electric utility.
